Lineage Principle

Nishio sensei's Aikido Toho constantly developed. Forms were changed, added and removed. The foundational 15 Toho Iai of 2001 is merely a picture of that moment in time. Had Nishio sensei lived longer they would likely have continued to change. Understanding the forms that "disappeared" may help us to identify the underlying principles for creation and transformation of the Toho Iai and thereby guide us in how to develop the Aiki Toho Iai further.
